Chicago Getaway Hostel will not host anyone who resides in any zip code that begins with "60" (i.e.60614).

All guests must be 18+ years old and show a valid foreign passport, driver's license, or state ID at check-in. Military IDs are not accepted. Illinois Passports are not accepted.

All room costs must be paid in full prior to check-in.

Check-In time is 3pm. Early Check-In is based on availability and subject to a $15.00 fee.

Check-out time is 11 am. Guests who check-out late without Front Desk permission are subject to a Check-Out Fee of $25.00 for dormitory beds reservations or $50.00 for private room reservations.

A hostel-wide QUIET TIME is to be strictly observed from 11pm-7am. This means no loud noises in common areas, dorms, or private rooms if noises emanate into other rooms. This includes music, games, shouting, or other disturbances as determined by staff.

Shoes, shirts, and pants/bottom-wear required for all guests in all common areas.

Management is not liable for any injuries, accidents, or the loss/theft of any personal items.

A $200 fee will be applied to any guest and anyone in their party determined by hostel staff to have been smoking inside hostel. No incense, candle burning, or in-room cooking permitted. No use of glitter or similar items allowed on property. No hanging items on walls. Additional fees for any other policy violations or damages are subject to the discretion of hostel management.

Any guest food or personal items causing widespread odors prohibited. Cooking fish or seafood is prohibited.

Kitchen use prohibited between hours of 9PM-7AM, patio closes at 10 PM, dining room closes at 12AM.

All visitors of guests are required to register with the Front Desk.

Service animals must be registered at check-in and are prohibited from dormitories and kitchen.

Loitering outside hostel entrance is not allowed after 10pm.

Soliciting for money or any other cause is strictly prohibited.

Switching dorm beds without Front Desk permission is prohibited. Guests who switch beds without an authorization are subject to a $25.00 fee. Slovenly behavior, eating, and food storage prohibited in dorms.

Dorm AC units will remain at 70 degrees cool when outside temperature is 70 degrees or higher.

We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone determined by hostel staff to be in violation of any of our policies listed on this form, signage posted in dorms, common areas, private rooms, on our website, or as verbally communicated by staff. Staff may permanently ban guests from hostel property.

We reserve the right to cancel the reservation of any guest determined by hostel staff to be displaying inappropriate behavior.
